What this site is

Via Med DR is a directory of Dominican Republic doctors built on public and administrative sources (government licensure data, clinic and hospital roster pages, professional society listings). Where we have reviewed those sources, we surface what we found.

What this site is NOT

  • It is not medical advice. Nothing here replaces a consultation with a licensed clinician.
  • It is not a guarantee of a provider's competence, license validity, appointment availability, or accepted insurance plans.
  • It is not an official government registry. Our records reflect public sources at the time they were reviewed and may lag the underlying registries.
  • It is not an emergency service. For medical emergencies in the Dominican Republic, call 911.

What “source-backed” means here

When a profile says it is source-backed, it means that at least one of the following was reviewed by our team and recorded as a public source check:

  • Government license / exequátur data (Ministerio de Salud Pública open dataset).
  • Clinic or hospital staff-directory pages (HOMS, Hospiten, and other facilities as they are added).
  • Professional-association or specialty-society directories, where publicly available.

Each source check carries a status (matched, not found, or needs review) and a link or citation when one is available publicly. A profile with multiple matched sources still does not constitute endorsement of the provider.

Confirm before booking

Always confirm credentials, current practice address, schedule, and accepted insurance plans directly with the provider or clinic before scheduling an appointment. Our data may be incomplete, out of date, or contain errors.

Reporting an error

If you are the provider or represent the clinic, or if you have spotted an error, contact us with a clear description and a citable source. We'll review and update or remove the record.

Beta status

This site is in beta. Wording, source coverage, and admin review depth will evolve. Major changes to these terms will be summarised at the top of this page.
